About Amply
Amply helps brands in Retail, Restaurants, and Hospitality to digitize their daily tasks—store visit reports, visual merchandising audits, safety compliance, maintenance tickets, etc. With a presence across 12,500+ locations, Amply gives the brands the tools to save 6hrs/store/day from manual tasks, automating staff accountability, and compliance on 250+ store KPIs.
Primary Challenge
When we spoke with Chaayos’ CTO, the issue wasn’t effort, it was fragmentation. On paper, everything looked fine;
- Checklists were being filled
- Audits were happening
- Store visits were happening
But in reality:
- Data was scattered across paper, Excel and WhatsApp
- Images had no context, no timestamps and structure
- Store managers were spending more time reporting than running the store
- Head office had no real-time visibility into execution
The biggest issue was that by the time these problems surfaced, it was already too late to fix them. Running 200 cafes means 200 different people making decisions every single day on checklists, on safety compliance, on how issues get reported and escalated. At that scale, even small inconsistencies compound fast. One store does things differently, another misses a step, a third logs an issue on paper that never reaches anyone who can act on it.
It’s not a people problem. It’s a scale problem.
Our Solution
Instead of trying to fix Chaayos’ operations by adding more processes, we simplified what already existed. Our focus was to take everything happening across paper, Excel and Whatsapp, and bring it to one structured, real-time system for task management; which would make it easy enough for store teams to actually use everyday.
Our idea was simple: If execution is happening, it should be visible. If it’s visible, it can be improved.
Chaayos implemented Amply to bring all store operations into one single workflow. Here’s a brief of what changed:
SOPs and checklists: Opening/closing tasks digitized, daily hygiene and standardized safety checks, no paper/missed steps
Store visit reports: Area managers submit structured reports with geotagged images, timestamps, and scoring
Visual and Ops Audits: VM, cleanliness, and service quality tracked across stores, consistent scoring across locations
Maintenance Issue tracking and escalation: Store-level issues like AC, equipment and stock are logged instantly, and are automatically escalated to the right teams
Real-time dashboards: Head offices can now see which stores are performing, slipping and what exactly needs action
The Impact
Once operations moved into a structured, real-time system, the changes were visible almost immediately – not in the dashboards but on the floor.
50% of the time spent on store admin was reduced: Store managers spent less time filling reports, sharing updates and following up.
There was an increase of 40% in learning and SOP participation: With checklists and processes built directly into daily workflows, teams naturally started completing and engaging with them more consistently.
12% reduction in voluntary turnover: Clearer processes and less operational chaos meant less friction for store teams, and that tends to show up in retention.

From the Chaayos Team
About 1.5 years ago, during a visit to a Chaayos cafe, we noticed someone using a paper logbook for SOPs. All these critical checks meant to ensure customer experience were being done manually. With 200 cafes, 6 checklists a day, and 15–20 items per checklist, it was nearly impossible to track anything.
So, we changed our approach. Instead of monitoring everything, we focused on detecting anomalies. If incorrect actions go down, that's the metric that matters.
Going fully digital made that possible. Within 15 days, we rolled out Amply across the city. No paperwork—just real-time, data-driven operations. And that's what transformed how we run Chaayos today.
From the Founder
When we started working with Chaayos, what stood out was how much effort was going into operations, but very little visibility was coming out of it.
Once everything moved into a structured system, the same teams were able to execute faster, with far more clarity.
The majority of brands are not facing any execution problems, they are having issues with visibility. We at Amply fixed it by making execution visible.
How Amply Can Optimise Your Store Operations
Chaayos didn’t need more processes. They needed to see the ones they already had.
Two hundred cafes. Six checklists a day. Fifteen to twenty items each. And until everything moved into one real-time system, none of it was giving leadership the picture they needed to actually act.
That’s the shift Amply makes not by adding complexity, but turning what your teams already do every day into something you can see, measure, and improve.
If your ops are running on WhatsApp, Excel, or paper logbooks—we’ll show you exactly what a structured, real-time alternative looks like for your setup. No generic demo. Just a free audit built around how your stores actually operate.
